Team Profile: Team McLaughlin

Team McLaughlin
(Owner: Glen McLaughlin)
Last Year's Record: N/A (Expansion Team)

Roster Highlights
QB Brett Favre
RB Chris Johnson
WR Calvin Johnson

Securing the first pick of the draft, Team McLaughlin seems destined for great things this season. A new expansion team and the last owner to commit to the season, many fellow owners present at the live draft remarked that Team McLaughlin came away with the best draft class. By the looks of it, he does seem to have a competent though slightly risky roster.

While RB Chris Johnson had a career-making year in 2009, one has to be weary of his follow up. Let us not forget about Steve Slaton who had an impressive year in 2008, only to completely bust during the last Fantasy Football season. While I think Johnson is a better athlete than Slaton, there is always a little disappointment after a season like Chris Johnson had last year.

The biggest risk is always going to be (at least until he ACTUALLY retires) QB Brett Favre. With all my personal feelings for Favre aside, the guy had a phenomenal season last year for the Minnesota Vikings and former employer Team Votto (now known as Brett Favre's Crocs, ironically). The ankle injury suffered in the NFC Championship game last year is still a concern, but if Favre can stay healthy and put up similar numbers this year (which will be tough with WR Sidney Rice out until the second half of the 2010 season), Team McLaughlin will be handsomely rewarded with this pick.

Predictions
Regular Season Record: 8-4 (Tied for 1st)
Division Season Record: 3-2 (Tied for 1st)
